Ubicada en el departamento de Madriz, la cooperativa Cinco de Junio es nuestro socio más antiguo en Nicaragua, una relación que comenzó en 2009. A lo largo de los años, la cooperativa ha superado desafíos: las cambiantes condiciones económicas y políticas y los crecientes impactos del cambio climático. Estas presiones han obligado a la cooperativa y a sus miembros a ajustar sus prácticas de producción, perseverando para hacer el mejor café posible. El lote de esta temporada ofrece sabores clásicos de manzana, chocolate negro y almendra dulce.

The fact that this coffee comes from a cooperative we've worked with since 2009 gives it a story I appreciate with every cup. Brewed it as a pour-over and the flavor held up nicely without turning bitter at the end. Just wish the bag came with a bit more detail on the roast date.

Loved the deep, rich brew, and knowing it’s from their oldest partner in Nicaragua since 2009 makes the cup feel special. Only wish the bag had a resealable top, since I’ve had to clip it shut to keep the beans fresh.
