Kooperativet Cinco de Junio ligger i departementet Madriz og er vår eldste partner i Nicaragua, et samarbeid som startet i 2009. Gjennom årene har kooperativet møtt utfordringer – skiftende økonomiske og politiske forhold og de økende virkningene av klimaendringer. Disse pressene har tvunget kooperativet og medlemmene til å tilpasse produksjonsmetodene sine, og de har holdt ut for å lage best mulig kaffe. Denne sesongens parti leverer klassiske smaker av eple, mørk sjokolade og søt mandel.

The fact that this coffee comes from a cooperative we've worked with since 2009 gives it a story I appreciate with every cup. Brewed it as a pour-over and the flavor held up nicely without turning bitter at the end. Just wish the bag came with a bit more detail on the roast date.

Loved the deep, rich brew, and knowing it’s from their oldest partner in Nicaragua since 2009 makes the cup feel special. Only wish the bag had a resealable top, since I’ve had to clip it shut to keep the beans fresh.
