Die Kooperative Cinco de Junio im Departement Madriz ist unser ältester Partner in Nicaragua; die Zusammenarbeit begann 2009. Im Laufe der Jahre hat die Kooperative Herausforderungen gemeistert – wechselnde wirtschaftliche und politische Bedingungen sowie die zunehmenden Auswirkungen des Klimawandels. Diese Belastungen haben die Kooperative und ihre Mitglieder dazu gezwungen, ihre Anbaumethoden anzupassen und beharrlich den bestmöglichen Kaffee zu produzieren. Die diesjährige Charge bietet klassische Aromen von Apfel, dunkler Schokolade und süßer Mandel.

The fact that this coffee comes from a cooperative we've worked with since 2009 gives it a story I appreciate with every cup. Brewed it as a pour-over and the flavor held up nicely without turning bitter at the end. Just wish the bag came with a bit more detail on the roast date.

Loved the deep, rich brew, and knowing it’s from their oldest partner in Nicaragua since 2009 makes the cup feel special. Only wish the bag had a resealable top, since I’ve had to clip it shut to keep the beans fresh.
